The Independent Study (IS) is a smaller scale Thesis Project, which aims at in-depth specialization of the knowledge and skills of an MSc student in a specific research area.

The Independent Study can be a bibliographic or empirical research study, or the development of an application / software that is built on a specific basis epistemological framework, uses ethical research methods and is supervised by the instructor of the program.

The Independent Survey is accompanied by a written text.
