The MSc program is composed of the following key components:

1.  Semester  Courses (two of the elective courses can be replaced by Independent Study)

2. MSc Thesis Project

Therefore, there are three different  study options for completing the program (check below):

MSc program courses

The courses are organized in two sections: Compulsory and Elective.

The total credit units of the Master program are set at 90 ECTS.

Independent Study  15 ECTS:

MSc Thesis Project 30 ECTS.

The Thesis Project may include study-solution to theoretical or practical problems of the scientific fields dealt with in MSc.

The Master's thesis can be carried out even in combination with internship practice in real workplaces such as industries, laboratories, research centers, IT companies, educational spaces (Reception Institutions), etc. In this case, for both the subject and the place-manner of elaboration of the thesis, it is essential that there is a written approval of the Coordinating Committee (CC) of the MSc after the Host Agency submits a written document describing a project that wishes to be undertaken as a thesis project. The relevant document should include the title of the project, the place of its implementation, whether it is paid or not, and the desired result. The final choice of the most suitable candidate for undertaking the project is made by the Host Agency after an interview of all interested parties (Career Day type).

The Independent Study (15 ECTS), follows the implementation philosophy of the Thesis Project and is a smaller scale research. As Supervisor of the Independent Study can only be appointed an Academic Member of the MSc program with the written approval of the Coordinating Committee.

The study options for completing the program are the following:

Option A (90 ECTS):

• Eight (8) core courses of 7.5 ECTS each (60 ECTS).

• Four (4) elective courses of 7.5 ECTS each (30 ECTS).

(60 ECTS + 30 ECTS)

Option B (90 ECTS):

• Eight (8) core courses of 7.5 ECTS each (60 ECTS).

• Two elective courses (2) of 7.5 ECTS each (15 ECTS).

• An Independent Study: 15 ECTS.

(60 ECTS + 15 ECTS + 15 ECTS)

Option C (90 ECTS):

• Eight (8) core courses of 7.5 ECTS each (60 ECTS).

• Thesis Project: 30 ECTS (30 ECTS).
